Write for us

Fresh News Dispatch welcomes pitches that help readers understand how news is made, presented or interpreted. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to see the question, the approach and why it matters to a general reader.

What we welcome

We consider clear explainers on sourcing, framing, verification, newsroom practices and the circulation of news. A strong proposal starts with a precise question, identifies the reader's likely confusion and offers a distinct way to clarify it. Practical reading methods are welcome when they avoid promising certainty a reader cannot reasonably get from the material.

What to include

Tell us the working subject, the central point you want readers to understand, the material or examples you would rely on, and why the piece suits Fresh News Dispatch. Note any relevant expertise or relationship to the subject, and disclose potential conflicts. A brief proposal is more useful than a full draft sent without context.

Our editorial process

Pitches are considered for fit, clarity, evidence and originality. We may ask questions or suggest a narrower angle; a proposal is not a commission. We do not accept work that disguises promotion as independent explanation or asks us to repeat claims without a sound basis.
